TEKFEN 06/08/2009

Within the past few days TEKFEN had a very bad experience while making an excavation in a BOTAŞ area allocated for an improvement Project. It was really a big chance - thanks to God! - that nobody was died or injured because of the cutting off the energy cable lying in an unexpected place and depth by an asphalt cutter, and of course it was a big warning to all! The cable just 5cm beneath the surface was accurately located by a Radiodetection RD7000 Pipe and Cable Locator. We are now having the bittersweet joy of once again verifying how the “pipe and cable location” before each in every excavation work is important by accurately locating the subject cable. By hoping not to have such experiences again…
